Dr. Luis Novoa Pacheco is known as the "Family Physician of the Hispanic Community."
Dr. Pacheco has the title of "Fellow" of Family Practice and is licensed and certified in the United States in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine.
Dr. Pacheco is Medical Director at California Hospital Medical Center and has dedicated his time to work in nonprofit institutions.
After completing his degree at Columbia University in New York, Dr. Pacheco studied medicine at the Central University in Puerto Rico and completed his clinical studies at Harvard University and Tufts University in Boston. He then completed his internship and residency in Family Medicine at the University of Southern California School of Medicine in Los Angeles where he was elected as " Chief Resident. "
His mother, Carmela Novoa Pacheco, taught him the importance of a good education and Dr. Pacheco was devoted to his studies at an early age. His uncle, Dr. Jesús A. Novoa - a renowned ophthalmologist, was also an important factor for Dr. Pacheco when he was young.
Dr. Pacheco has received many awards and recognitions for his accomplishments in the medical field and the community including recognition from the American Diabetes Association, the " Head Start " educational program and Congressional recognition for his work with the AYSO (American Youth Soccer Assocation).
A former semi-pro soccer player, Dr. Pacheco is still active in sports and enjoys coaching baseball and soccer with his children.
In the Hispanic community, he attends many events to improve the health of people of all ages. Clinics led by Dr. Pacheco are non-profit and each year thousands of patients are treated free of charge.
In the media Dr. Pacheco appears on TV and Radio regularly and also writes health articles for various magazines and newspapers. Previously he worked with Univision as medical expert for Channel 34 in Los Angeles and is winner of the prestigious "Emmy" and was also awarded the "Golden Mike".
Dr. Luis N. Pacheco is dedicated to improving our lives physically , emotionally and spiritually .
